Iris Krawchenko appointed CCAPP President for 2019-2020

It is a pleasure to welcome Iris Krawchenko as President of CCAPP for 2019-2020!

Iris is a senior pharmacist practitioner with over 34 years of combined experience in community pharmacy practice, ownership and management, long-term care service provision, hospital and primary care family health team practice. A passionate advocate for the profession, she has extensive leadership experience within pharmacy organizations, government councils and related external stakeholders. Iris is a graduate from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto and holds a hospital pharmacy residency certificate from McMaster University Medical Centre.

Currently, Iris is clinical pharmacist in the Hamilton Family Health Team and is the principal of her own pharmacist consultant practice. She actively works in the development of continuing education programs for pharmacists. Iris specializes in helping pharmacists and their teams understand and integrate expanded pharmacy services within many different therapeutic areas into their daily practice to improve patient care with achievable business wins. Further, Iris is a board member for the Canadian Foundation for Pharmacy and is serving her term as the President of the Canadian Council for the Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs.

 

She is a former owner and Past Chair of Dell Pharmacies, a group of 17 pharmacies, as well as the Past President of the Ontario College of Pharmacists. Iris has been honoured with the Pharmacist of the Year Award from the Ontario Pharmacists’ Association and received a Commitment to Care Award for the Best Pharmacist/Physician Team.
